August 2023-Dr. Van Hook received the Teacher of the Year Award for the Longmont region for his work with the University of Colorado School of Medicine Longitudinal Integrated Curriculum.

October 2022-Dr. Van Hook served as an invited moderator for two poster sessions, Complicated Chest Infections and Systemic Diseases Causing Pulmonary Havoc, at the American College of Chest Physicians annual meeting in Nashville, Tennessee.

August 2022-Dr. Van Hook has been appointed to the American College of Chest Physicians Chest Infections Committee and Membership Committee, with terms to begin in January of 2023.

May 2022-the abstract, “McConnell’s sign in the setting of pulmonary contusion” by Dr. Van Hook, Dr. Britt Warner, and Dr. Robert Shapiro was accepted for presentation at the American Thoracic Society annual meeting in San Francisco.

October 2021-Dr. Van Hook served as the moderator for a critical care poster session on sepsis and septic shock at the American College of Chest Physicians annual meeting, which was held virtually.

December 5, 2020-We have moved to 1551 Professional Lane in Longmont and are now proudly affiliated with UC-Longs Peak Hospital

October 22, 2020-Longmont Pulmonary and Critical Care has decided to sever all relationships with Centura effective December 5, 2020. Our new office location will be at 1551 Professional Lane in Longmont, and we are proud to announce that our new hospital affiliate will be Longs Peak Hospital. October 22, 2020-Our Longmont United Hospitalist Group has been replaced at LUH by Centura. We are proud of our many years of service.

January, 2020- Dr. Charles Van Hook, with Dr. Carylene Cool, presented “Pleuroparenchymal Fibroelastosis” at the Tri-State Pulmonary Case Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana.

October, 2019- Dr. Charles Van Hook served as a faculty moderator for a Critical Care Abstract Poster presentation session at the American College of Chest Physicians annual meeting in New Orleans, Louisiana

August, 2019-Dr. Angela Taylor has assumed a hospitalist leadership position in Summerville, South Carolina. We are pleased that she will continue to return regularly to work with the Longmont Hospitalist Group.

June, 2019- We are proud to announce that Daniel Stepan has joined the Longmont Hospitalist Group. Dan recently completed training through the University of Nebraska.

May, 2019-A total of 7 abstracts were presented by members of Longmont Pulmonary and Critical Care and the Longmont Hospitalist Group at the American Thoracic Society Annual Conference in Dallas, Texas. The authors and titles are available in our Clinical Research section.

January, 2019-Dr. Angela Taylor has been appointed as a member of the Society of Hospital Medicine Performance Membership and Reporting Group. This influential committee helps set clinical standards nationwide, and Dr. Taylor’s selection to it is a prestigious honor.

October 2018-Dr. Charles Van Hook presented and served as Chairperson for “Hantavirus Pulmonary Syndrome, the 25th Anniversary of the Four Corners Outbreak” at the American College of Chest Physicians annual meeting in San Antonio, Texas.

May, 2018- Clinicians representing both Longmont Pulmonary and Critical Care and the Longmont Hospitalist Group presented 4 abstracts during the scientific assembly of the Annual Meeting of the American Thoracic Society in San Diego, California. Presenting authors included Angela Taylor, Britt Warner, Milena Beer, Jackie Gould, and Charles Van Hook.

March, 2018-The Longmont Hospitalist group welcomes Elizabeth ("Beth") Keller Hackenberger, RN MSN ACNP. Beth is a graduate of Purdue University, and received her Master of Science, Nursing and Acute Care Nurse Practitioner training at the University of California, Los Angeles. Beth worked for many years in the renowned UCLA-Cedars Sinai cardiology section, and has extensive experience in the care of patients with advanced heart disease and heart failure.

March, 2018-We are pleased to announce the return of Dr. Bryant Delgado to Longmont Pulmonary and Critical Care. Dr. Delgado will be rejoining the practice, after a brief sojourn to South Florida, during the summer of 2018.

December, 2017- Dr. Angela Taylor has been named a Fellow in Hospital Medicine, a distinguished honor based on scholarship and service, by the Society of Hospital Medicine. 

December, 2017-We are pleased to announce that Dr. Isham Huizar will be joining the Pulmonary and Critical Care practice in the Spring of 2018. Dr. Huizar currently serves on the faculty of Texas Tech University.

December, 2017-Dr. Jacquelynn Gould of the Longmont Hospitalist Group was named the 2017 recipient of the Physician Award for Clinical Excellence at Longmont United Hospital.

August, 2017- Britt Warner presented an abstract, "Rattlesnake Subspecies as a Factor in the Treatment of Envenomation" at the  annual meeting of the Wilderness Medical Society in Breckenridge, Colorado

April, 2017- Britt Warner, a founding member of the Longmont Hospitalist Group, has been named the recipient of the "Spirit of Planetree" award at Longmont United Hospital. This honor is granted to the practitioner who best embodies compassion, empathy, and excellence in patient care. We are all proud to be colleagues of this exemplary individual.

February, 2017- Dr. Jacquelynn Gould of the Longmont Hospitalist Group has been elected by her peers as the Chief of Staff of Longmont United Hospital. Her service term will span from 2018-2019. We congratulate her on this prestigious honor.

February, 2017- We are pleased to announce that an agreement in principle has been reached for our team to provide comprehensive specialty care service at Avista Adventist Hospital in Louisville, Colorado. Coverage is slated to begin in April of 2017.  A complete inpatient and outpatient program is currently in development for the Avista campus.
